Cathedral of Saints Cyril and Methodius
CultureVisit: ~45 min
Baroque Orthodox church on Resslova street, designed in the 18th century by Kilian Ignaz Dientzenhofer. Its crypt is known because in June 1942 the Czechoslovak paratroopers who had carried out the attack on Reinhard Heydrich took refuge here, among them Jozef Gabčík and Jan Kubiš. After an SS siege, they died inside. The crypt now houses a small museum about Operation Anthropoid.
