Neoclassical theatre opened in 1783 by Count Nostitz, in the Old Town. Mozart's Don Giovanni premiered here on 29 October 1787, conducted by the composer himself. Its horseshoe-shaped auditorium, with boxes and green and gold decoration, served as a setting for Miloš Forman's film Amadeus. Today it is part of the National Theatre and stages opera and drama.
