Archaeological museum devoted to Roman Cologne, founded as Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium. Its most famous piece is the Dionysus mosaic, from the 3rd century, discovered in 1941 and preserved on the spot where it was found, beside the cathedral. The main building is under works and part of the collection is temporarily displayed at the Belgisches Haus.
