Shinto shrine in the Bunkyō ward, in the Nezu district, whose origins go back several centuries and whose current buildings date from 1706, in the Edo period. The main complex survives, with its prayer hall, its pavilion and its entrance gate, all designated Important Cultural Properties. A tunnel of small red torii climbs the hill, and in spring the grounds fill with azaleas.
