Natural history museum founded in 1893 and housed since 1921 in a neoclassical building on the Museum Campus, beside Lake Michigan. It is famous for Sue, one of the most complete and best-preserved Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons, discovered in 1990 in South Dakota, as well as its collections of Egyptology, mineralogy and wildlife.
