Inside, visitors find a simple altar with an open Bible on a lectern, frescoes and sculpted motifs on the choir's elliptical dome, an organ gallery and a few modestly built works of art and furnishings. The building, originally a Catholic Convent of the Visitation founded in the seventeenth century, preserves historic features such as the family crypt of Nicolas Fouquet and the tomb of Henri de Sévigné, as well as traces of its use during the French Revolution and the Second World War.
