Asian Art Museum
Museum in Civic Center, in the former main library building, in the Beaux-Arts style and built in 1917. It moved here in 2003 after a renovation led by the architect Gae Aulenti. Its collection, one of the largest of Asian art outside Asia, spans some six thousand years and brings together pieces from China, Japan, Korea, India, the Himalayas and Southeast Asia.
