Home of the National Opera and the National Ballet on Teatralny Square. The neoclassical building is the work of the Italian architect Antonio Corazzi and opened in 1833. It was destroyed in 1944 and rebuilt in the following decades. Its great colonnaded façade stands out, one of the most monumental in the city centre.
