One of the few surviving gates of Seville's city walls, of Almohad origin and remodelled in the 18th century. Next to it stands the Basílica de la Macarena, home to the image of the Esperanza Macarena, and one of the longest surviving stretches of the walls, with towers and a barbican, can be seen here.
