Neo-Gothic skyscraper from 1925 on Michigan Avenue, designed by Raymond Hood and John Mead Howells after a famous architecture competition called by the Chicago Tribune. Its limestone tower recalls that of Rouen Cathedral. Embedded in the base are fragments of buildings and monuments from around the world, collected by the newspaper's correspondents.
