Lara Museum
The Museo Lara occupies the palace house of the Counts of La Conquista, an 18th-century building in Ronda's old town, on Calle Armiñán. It is built from the private collection of Juan Antonio Lara, which is displayed across about twelve rooms. There is a room of clocks from the 18th and 19th centuries and another of weapons from the same centuries, as well as spaces devoted to photography and cinema, scientific instruments, a Romantic setting and the chapel of Fray Leopoldo de Alpandeire. There is also a central courtyard, a Flamenco recreation with an 18th-century wine cellar, an archaeology room and a forge. The exhibitions on the Inquisition and witchcraft are especially well known, bringing together objects related to both subjects. Downloadable audio guides are available in Spanish, English, French and German.
