Casita del Príncipe
CultureVisit: ~45 min
Neoclassical leisure pavilion built by Juan de Villanueva in the late 18th century for Prince Charles, the future Charles IV. It stands in the Royal Site of El Escorial, next to the entrance from El Escorial, at the foot of the monastery and on the edge of La Herrería forest, surrounded by gardens. Its salons preserve period decoration, with paintings, lamps, clocks and furniture in the courtly taste of the Enlightenment.
