The Roman Baths of the Zappeion are an archaeological site in central Athens. Official information describes a bathing complex with a first building phase in the 5th-6th centuries AD and later alterations up to the 4th century AD (as the text reads). Identified spaces include the caldarium (hot room), the tepidarium (warm room) and the praefurnia (furnaces). The site preserves remains of mosaics and architectural elements that help visitors understand the layout of a Roman bath complex and how it evolved over time.
