Bullfighting Museum
The Antonio Ordóñez Bullfighting Museum is inside the Estepona bullring complex, on Calle Matías Prats. It is dedicated to the bullfighter Antonio Ordóñez. The bullring opened in 1972 and was designed by the architect Juan de Mora Urbano; its elliptical, asymmetrical layout is presented as a design rarity. The museum brings together photographs of bullfighters from different eras, heads of bulls from memorable afternoons, images of historic scenes from the ring, brands and ribbons of Spanish and Portuguese bull-breeding ranches, a large collection of posters and several suits of lights donated by leading bullfighters. The same building also houses the Ethnographic Museum, on the upper floor, and the Sea Museum. Admission is free and the venue is adapted for visitors with reduced mobility.
