Grand Central Terminal
CultureVisit: ~30 min
Beaux-Arts railway station opened in 1913 in Midtown Manhattan. Its great concourse has a vaulted ceiling painted with the sky and the constellations, and a four-faced clock above the information booth. Near the Oyster Bar, a vaulted gallery lets you hear whispers from one corner to the opposite one. People come to see the main hall, take the photo from the staircase and try out the acoustic effect.
