Museum of Salamanca
The Museum of Salamanca occupies the Casa de los Abarca, a palace from the late 15th century whose noble façade is on Calle Serranos, although access is via the Patio de Escuelas. Inside there is an archaeology section and a Fine Arts section, with pieces originally coming from confiscated convents. The visit takes in rooms such as Room I, devoted to the 15th and 16th centuries, covered by a 14th-century Mudéjar coffered ceiling. Among the works on display, La Piedad entre San Juan y la Magdalena, an Immaculate Conception by Andrea Vaccaro and another by José Jiménez Donoso stand out. In the outdoor garden you can see Iberian verracos and Roman stelae.
