Unamuno House-Museum
The Unamuno House-Museum occupies the building that was the Rector's House in the historic centre of Salamanca, built in the 18th century and where Miguel de Unamuno lived and wrote during his first term as rector. The guided one-hour visit goes through the family home with its furniture and personal objects, as well as iconographic and artistic collections. On the second floor the writer's personal library is preserved, with more than 6,000 volumes, and the museum also holds letters, manuscripts and photographs. The façade bears a coat of arms of the University of Salamanca with the motto Omnium scientiarum princeps Salmantica docet. Tickets are bought at the Escuelas Mayores building and groups can book by email.
