Carmel Bunkers

NatureVisit: ~60 min

Remains of the anti-aircraft batteries built in 1937-1938, during the Civil War, at the top of Turó de la Rovira, about 262 metres above sea level. From the esplanade you see Barcelona in 360 degrees, from the Eixample and the Sagrada Família to the sea. After the war, the site housed shanty homes for decades. Today it is one of the city's most popular viewpoints at sunset.
