Victoria Beach
This is the great urban beach of the modern part of Cádiz, in the south-west of the city and washed by the Atlantic. It is around 3 kilometres long and, at low tide, the sand reaches about 200 metres wide, partly thanks to an urban beach regeneration project carried out in 2003. A seafront promenade, running along Avenida de la Playa de la Victoria and Avenida Amílcar Barca, separates it from the city. To the north it borders Santa María del Mar beach, and to the south the Muro de Cortadura, which separates it from Cortadura beach. It has lifeguards, toilets, showers, changing rooms, drinking fountains and accessible entrances, and there are beach bars and restaurants along the promenade. It held a Blue Flag without interruption from 1987 to 2011 and has had the Q Seal for Tourist Quality since 2004. You can get there by city bus or commuter train, with stops at Cortadura and Estadio.
