Kyoto Railway Museum
CultureVisit: ~150 min
A railway museum opened in 2016 in Umekoji Park, expanding the former steam locomotive museum that occupied the site. It shows trains from across Japanese railway history, from steam locomotives to shinkansen bullet trains. It preserves a semicircular steam locomotive roundhouse from the prewar period, in use as an exhibition hall.
