Croxteth Park
Croxteth Park is a 500-acre estate in northeast Liverpool that combines a free public park with a paid heritage complex. Within it is Croxteth Hall, a Grade II* listed manor house preserved as an Edwardian home and open for self-guided tours through its drawing rooms, library, bedrooms and service quarters. Home Farm is one of the UK's leading rare-breed conservation centres, with more than 20 endangered breeds, and offers feeding sessions and animal talks. The Victorian walled garden retains heated walls, a mushroom house and trained fruit trees, and holds part of the Liverpool Botanical Collection. The park also has a miniature railway, signposted walking and cycling routes, children's play areas, and wetlands and woodland for birdwatching and wildlife spotting. Entry to the park is free; the hall, garden and farm charge admission with a combined ticket.
