The house museum of the American businessman Jim Thompson, who boosted the Thai silk industry after the Second World War and disappeared in 1967 in the Cameron Highlands, in Malaysia. The residence was built in 1959 by combining several traditional teak houses and holds his collection of Asian art. It stands in a tropical garden next to a canal, in the heart of Bangkok.
