Triana Market
The Triana Market is a working food market located on the Plaza del Altozano, in the Triana quarter. Inside, covering about 4,000 m², nearly a hundred stalls are arranged along straight aisles, with two interior courtyards that bring in natural light. Visitors will find stalls with fresh fruit and vegetables from the region, fishmongers, butchers, bakeries, delicatessens, a florist and a herbalist, among others. An important part of the market is given over to hospitality, with bars and restaurants where you can have tapas, breakfasts or meals, as well as a café and a brewery bar. The market also houses a cookery school and a flamenco school, and along its aisles you can see ceramic panels identifying each shop, reflecting the neighbourhood's pottery tradition. On the ground floor is the San Jorge Castle Interpretation Centre, where you can visit the archaeological remains of the old castle and of an Almohad cemetery.
