Bodega Bar El Pimpi

El Pimpi is a bodega-bar founded in 1971 in an 18th-century mansion built over an old Roman road, in Málaga's historic centre. It occupies several rooms and courtyards, each with its own atmosphere, decorated with old posters from fairs and bullfighting festivals, and has a terrace beside the Alcazaba. It serves local cuisine and wines from the Málaga designation of origin, with products such as chestnut-fed Iberian ham, extra virgin olive oil, 'huevo de toro' tomatoes and sweet Muscat wine. It has its own organic vegetable garden, the Huerta del Paraíso, in the Guadalhorce Valley, which supplies the establishment. It is a cultural and social meeting point, with a long history of literary events and institutional recognition.
