La Batería Park
La Batería Park is a large 74,000 m² urban park in Torremolinos, laid out around a network of irregular paths. At its centre is a 9,000 m² artificial lake where you can hire pleasure boats and which holds a statue of Neptune. The park preserves the remains of an old coastal defence battery: three gun emplacements you can visit, some cannons and two underground bunkers. It has a 15-metre viewing tower reached by panoramic lift, a Venetian carousel with almost 50 figures, the Ibáñez Park with 8 sculptures dedicated to Spanish comics, a stage for concerts and shows, children's play areas, outdoor exercise areas, a cycle lane and a running track. It has 150 parking spaces, toilets and a café, and is accessible for people with reduced mobility. Entry is free.
