Square on Lyon's Presqu'île, between Place Bellecour and Place de la République, organised around a large monumental 19th-century fountain, the Jacobins fountain, with statues of four Lyonnais artists. It is surrounded by buildings with ornate façades from the same century. It takes its name from a former convent of Dominicans, known as Jacobins in France.
