Large pedestrian square in the centre of the Presqu'île, between the Rhône and the Saône, of about 6 hectares, one of the largest in Europe. In the centre stands the equestrian statue of Louis XIV, inaugurated in 1825. There is also a statue dedicated to Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, born in Lyon, and to the Little Prince. From the square you can see the Basilica of Fourvière on the hill.
