National Theatre
CultureVisit: ~90 min
Brutalist building by Denys Lasdun and Peter Softley, opened in stages between 1976 and 1977 on the South Bank and Grade II* listed since 1994. It has three theatres: Olivier (1,160 seats), Lyttelton (890) and Dorfman (400). The concrete keeps the imprint of the formwork planks, and a series of terraces takes advantage of the views of St Paul's.
