A large urban park north of Praça Marquês de Pombal, named after the British king Edward VII, who visited Lisbon in 1903. Its geometric box-hedge parterres slope down towards the Tagus, with the Monument to 25 April and the Estufas (greenhouses) in the upper part. From the very top you can see the whole avenue down to the river.
