A museum dedicated to the Portuguese azulejo, housed in the former convent of Madre de Deus, founded in 1509 by Queen Leonor. It brings together pieces from the 15th century to the present day and preserves the convent church with abundant gilded woodwork and Baroque azulejos. Its best-known piece is the great azulejo panel with the panoramic view of Lisbon before the 1755 earthquake.
