Bukchon Hanok Village
CultureVisit: ~90 min
A neighbourhood of sloping alleys between the Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung palaces, with hundreds of hanoks, the traditional Korean houses with curved tile roofs. In the Joseon era, nobles and officials lived here. People come mostly for photos of the streets with the rooftops in the foreground and the modern city behind. Residents still live here, so it is best to walk quietly.
