Copacabana Beach
LeisureVisit: ~120 min
An urban beach of about four kilometres, curved like an arc, between the Leme district and Copacabana Fort. Its seafront promenade, designed by Roberto Burle Marx, has the famous black-and-white wave pavement. Along the sand there are kiosks selling coconut water and beer, and it is the setting for football and footvolley matches and for the New Year celebration.
