Holy Trinity Church
Holy Trinity Church is a Neo-Gothic Protestant church designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and consecrated in 1869. It was the oldest Anglican cathedral in China and served Shanghai's English community between 1866 and 1949. After being seized during the Cultural Revolution and converted into a cinema, it was restored and reopened in December 2017. Visitors can admire its Neo-Gothic architecture, the carved teak pews, the separate carillon and the restored spire. It is located at 201 Jiujiang Road, near Nanjing Road East metro station.
