Memorial to the Victims of Communism
CultureVisit: ~15 min
Sculptural ensemble by Olbram Zoubek, unveiled in 2002 at the foot of Petřín Hill, next to Újezd street. Seven bronze figures descend a staircase, and each appears more mutilated or worn than the one before, as a symbol of the victims of the Czechoslovak communist regime. A plaque gives the figures for those convicted, killed and imprisoned.
