The National Diet Building, completed in 1936, is the seat of Japan's legislature. Visitors can join free guided tours in English organised by the House of Representatives, taking in the Chamber, the Emperor's Room and the Central Hall, with photography permitted in these spaces. The building is notable for its hybrid architecture, with a central tower 65.45 metres tall, bronze doors at the central entrance, and a lobby with stained glass and paintings of the four seasons.
