Sanssouci Palace
Sanssouci Palace is a complex of buildings and gardens in Potsdam that was the summer palace of Frederick the Great, King of Prussia. The single-storey Rococo palace stands on vineyard terraces and largely retains its original 18th-century interior decoration. Beneath its dome is the oval marble hall where the king's gatherings with guests such as Voltaire are thought to have taken place. The park surrounding the complex is home to numerous small temples and pavilions.
