La Concepción Botanical Garden
The garden holds more than fifty thousand plants of some two thousand tropical, subtropical and native species, with notable collections of palms, bamboos and aquatic plants, as well as monumental specimens such as centuries-old fig and cedar trees. Among its distinctive corners is the wisteria arbour, where each spring lilac clusters flower and wrap around the iron structure, and the statue of the Nymph, set in a French-style landscaped area. The Loringian Museum, inside the garden, preserves archaeological remains such as Roman sculptures and mosaics, a testament to its founders' interest in archaeology. Visitors can follow the 'Around the World in Eighty Trees' route, where tree species from the five continents are grouped by their geographic origin.
