Small Byzantine church from the 11th century set in the middle of Ermou Street, one of the main shopping streets of Athens. Dedicated to the Presentation of the Virgin, it has a cross-in-square plan and a dome on a drum, and today belongs to the University of Athens. It is striking because it survives intact among shops and modern buildings.
