A 180-metre, 41-storey skyscraper in the City of London, designed by Foster + Partners and opened in 2004. Its curved, tapering shape earned it the nickname “the Gherkin”. It was the headquarters of the insurer Swiss Re. The interior is for private use; the usual thing is to admire it from the street and the surrounding area.
