Ranelagh Gardens is today a green space with shaded walks within the grounds of the Chelsea Hospital, in Chelsea. It occupies the site of the former 18th-century pleasure gardens, which were an important social and musical venue: the young Mozart performed there in 1764, and Canaletto painted them, including the rotunda. Today it hosts the Chelsea Flower Show every year. Visitors can walk along its landscaped paths and identify the spot where the famous rotunda once stood, along with other historic features.
