The Théâtre Antoine is an Italian-style theatre built in 1866, at 14 Boulevard de Strasbourg in Paris, with capacity for 800 spectators and recognised as a historic monument. Over its history, the theatre has hosted premieres of comic operas and operettas such as Jacques Offenbach's 'Geneviève de Brabant' and several works by Edmond Audran, and was also home to André Antoine's Théâtre Libre company, known for its innovations in stage design, lighting and acting. The theatre has staged complete cycles of Jean-Paul Sartre's plays, and visitors can currently attend productions such as 'En Thérapie', 'Le Cercle des Poètes Disparus' and 'Le Misanthrope'.
