Jinjiang Action Park

Jinjiang Action Park is a large amusement park at 201 Hongmei Road, in Shanghai's Xuhui District. Founded in 1984 and affiliated with the Jinjiang Group, its main documented attraction is the Shanghai Ferris Wheel, a 108-metre-tall, 98-metre-diameter wheel that takes between 20 and 25 minutes to complete one revolution. Its 63 cabins can carry 6 passengers each and, on clear days, allow views of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in Pudong, the Songpu, Fengpu and Xupu bridges over the Huangpu River to the south, and Sheshan Hill to the west. Construction of the wheel began in November 2002, it opened in May 2003, and it cost more than 10 million yuan. The park can be reached via metro line 1 of the Shanghai Metro to Jinjiang Park station, as well as via the Hukun Expressway and more than 20 bus routes.
