Media Luna Park
The Media Luna Park is an extensive green space of 67,000 m² in the Second Ensanche of Pamplona, designed by Víctor Eusa in 1935. It extends over a natural slope overlooking the River Arga, from the Fortín de San Bartolomé to the Ripa de Beloso, offering wide views of the river park and the river's meanders. Its features include a pond with fish, a skating rink, pergolas, fountains and hedges, as well as a varied range of trees that includes a giant sequoia. The park houses several monuments: the bronze statue of Pablo Sarasate (1959), the monument to Sancho the Great (2004) and the relief of Huarte de San Juan (1933). To the north, a stepped path and a lift allow you to descend to the cuesta del Labrit, and a footbridge connects with the plaza de Santa María la Real, in the old town. It is a place for walking and resting with notable views over the Magdalena market gardens and the cathedral.
