The Athens Olympic Sports Complex, known as OAKA, is in Marousi, northeast of the city. It was built for the 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games and redesigned by the architect Santiago Calatrava. The site groups five major facilities: the Olympic Stadium, with a capacity of around 75,000 spectators; the Nikos Galis Olympic Indoor Hall, which hosted gymnastics and the basketball final in 2004 and the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006; the Olympic Aquatic Centre, venue for swimming, synchronised swimming and water polo; the Olympic Velodrome, with 5,250 seats; and the Olympic Tennis Centre, with 16 courts. The complex is still in use and offers guided visit programmes, sports activities for schoolchildren and an open-to-the-public sports programme, with the option to book.
