Former public weigh house of Leipzig, built in the 16th century on the Markt, next to the Old Town Hall. Here the goods of the merchants who came to the fairs were weighed and checked. Destroyed in the Second World War, it was rebuilt in the post-war period following its Renaissance appearance and today forms part of the historic ensemble of the square.
