Enormous municipal housing block in the Döbling district, designed by Karl Ehn and built between 1927 and 1930 during Red Vienna. It stretches for more than a kilometre beside Heiligenstadt station and housed more than twelve hundred apartments. In February 1934 it was the scene of fighting during the Austrian civil war.
