Neo-Gothic church on Rooseveltplatz, built by Heinrich von Ferstel as a thank-offering after the failed assassination attempt on Emperor Franz Joseph in 1853 and consecrated in 1879. Its two towers are about 99 metres tall and recall the French Gothic cathedrals. It is near the University of Vienna and the Ring, and stands out for its stone exterior with abundant sculptural decoration.
