Church of medieval origin on Michaelerplatz, opposite the entrance to the Hofburg, founded around the 13th century. Its interior is Gothic and Romanesque, with a neoclassical façade added in 1792 on the square side. It was the parish church of the imperial court. The square also contains the Looshaus, Adolf Loos's famously unadorned building.
