La Glorieta Bullring
The Salamanca Bullring, known as La Glorieta, is a historic bullfighting venue opened in 1893. Its eclectic architecture combines brick with Villamayor stone, and its façade features a triumphal arch spanning two floors. Inside, the boxes show arabesque decoration. With a capacity of 11,800 seats, it hosts bullfights mainly during the September festivities (Virgen de la Vega and San Mateo) and occasionally in June (San Juan de Sahagún). Besides bullfighting events, the venue has hosted concerts and other events, such as a time-trial stage of the Vuelta a España in 2011. The bullring is managed by Casa Chopera together with the Mexican group Bal and BMF Toros.
