Bargello National Museum
A sculpture museum housed in the Palazzo del Bargello, a 13th-century medieval building that was the seat of the Capitano del Popolo and the podestà. It brings together Renaissance masterpieces: Donatello's bronze David, Michelangelo's Bacchus and works by Verrocchio and Cellini. The arcaded courtyard with coats of arms is one of the most recognisable medieval spaces in Florence.
